Columbia Heights Lions is dedicated to helping and supporting communities like Columbia Heights and Minneapolis, MN.

What Do We Do?

Our goal is simply to serve in whatever capacity we’re needed in. Much of the time, that means volunteering at community events. One fun example that we’ve participated in for years is the Columbia Heights Jamboree. This family-friendly event boasts fun highlights like the Midway Carnival, a beer garden tent, bean bag tournaments, a parade, and fireworks.

Besides this fun annual event, we also have helped with Taste of Heights and Dad’s Waffle Breakfast. If outdoor events are more your thing, then Adopt-a-Highway or Adopt-a-Park opportunities abound. And if you like to help out with personal events, we provide volunteering opportunities for occasions like weddings, birthday parties, and graduation parties.

Who Do We Need?

Everyone! Each volunteer has something to contribute. Whether you enjoy organizing, setting up, managing, planning, or executing plans, we welcome your time, skills, and effort. You don’t have to be a Lion to volunteer, though we always enjoy new members.

With each volunteering opportunity that comes our way, we welcome the chance to meet others; actively invest in the social, cultural, or civic welfare of our community; have fun; and make new friends.
